Harley-Davidson Touring tech info
Harley-Davidson Touring description
At auction is a very nice and classic looking 2004 Harley Davidson Road King Classic FLHRCI. The bike has only 26,358 miles. The paint is Pearl White and is very shinny with no defects to report. Motor runs strong and has a complete set of Rinehart true dual head pipes and mufflers with the classic Rinehart black muffler tips. Air intake has been upgraded with an Arlene Ness Big Sucker heavy breather/air cleaner and bike is constantly being tuned with a "plug and play" Cobra fi2000 PowerPro tuner. Check out their info at Cobra's website as Cobra has become a leader in continuous tuning at about 80 times per second. Some of the other upgrades include: two up clear windshield, high intensity auxiliary lights, smoked front and rear running lights/turn signals, Arlene Ness chrome and soft feel black rubber handlebar grips, passenger and rider floor boards and inserts, toe shifter, brake pedal, and Harley Davidson Audio boom box with AM/FM and auxiliary input jack for playing iPod, iPhone or an other MP3 player. Tires have plenty of miles left on them to ride.

Vespa goes back to the future
Thu, 22 Nov 2012IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while. I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
Sons Of Anarchy Claims “We Basically Saved Harley.”
Wed, 12 Feb 2014“We basically saved Harley,” says Sons of Anarchy co-star Mark Boone Jr. (Bobby) to Susan Carpenter of The Hollywood Reporter. In a time before the economic meltdown, motorcycle sales, especially for Harley-Davidson, were booming. After the collapse, sales have only started to pick up again within the past two years (at nowhere near pre-2008 levels, however).
