THIS AUCTION IS FOR A 2008 HARLEY DAVIDSON STREET GLIDE FLHX . THIS MOTORCYCLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT IN AUGUST. IT HAS A CLEAR TITLE. THE BIKE RAN MINT WITH ONLY APPROX 18K MILES ON IT. IT APPEARS THAT THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION DID NOT RECEIVE ANY DAMAGE. THERE IS SOME ROAD RASH ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PRIMARY COVER BUT THAT WAS THERE BEFORE ACCIDENT FROM CORNERING. THE FRAME SEEMS TO BE GOOD EXCEPT FOR THE REAR FENDER MOUNTING AREA THAT COULD BE STRAIGHTENED. THE FUEL TANK ONLY HAS A COUPLE OF REAL SMALL DIME SIZE DINGS. STOCK PARTS ARE VERY CHEAP AND EASY TO BUY FOR THIS MODEL BECAUSE ALOT OF PEOPLE CUSTOMIZE THEM. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT REBUILD PROJECT FOR SOMEONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A STREET GLIDE AT A FAIR PRICE OR THE BEGINNING OF A CUSTOME RIDE. PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. Harley-Davidson Expands H-D1 Bike Builder Tool for All Non-CVO Models
Fri, 08 Jun 2012Harley-Davidson has expanded its online H-D1 Bike Builder customization tool to include more models from its current lineup. The H-D1 Bike Builder allows users to customize motorcycles with parts from Harley-Davidson‘s catalog. The tool was previously only available for Sportster 1200 models but Harley-Davidson has add all of its models except for the high-end Custom Vehicle Operations line.
2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.
