Harley-Davidson Touring description

Last chance on Ebay. No reserve auction. HIGH BID TAKE IT!!!

Up for sale is a 2006 Harley Davidson FLTRI Road Glide. This bike is in "like new" shape. The mileage is 39,200 and still has tons of life left. Runs and rides strong.

I am the owner of Vicious Cycles Motorcycle Co. and we specialize in custom Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Choppers, and Bobbers. We received this motorcycle from an insurance auction in Nevada, with some very minor body work that needed to be done. The frame, engine, transmission has been checked and are in excellent shape.  I have built a lot of motorcycles and that includes re-building them as well.  Here is a list of all the work that was completed by our shop:

Brand new OEM inner and outer fairings (Street Glide). The old outer fairing had a crack in it so we decided to replace both inner and outer so there won't be any problems.

Brand new OEM replacement speakers.  The bike came with aftermarket speakers.  We decided to re-install the OEM brand speakers Harley uses.

The front fender had a dent in it that we repaired

Replaced left and right saddlebags - OEM.  The bike came with only one saddlebag on the right side with an aftermarket speaker molded into it.  We thought it best to replace both bags for two reasons.  We didn't want there to be any "hidden issues" with the remaining saddlebag, and we wanted both bags to be original factory with no aftermarket parts at all.

A dent in the gas tank was repaired.  This wasn't related to the other issues.  The dent was the size of a quarter so we fixed it.

Brand new OEM battery purchased at Our local Harley Davidson Dealer

All paint work was completed by Fred Beans Collision in Doylestown PA

Additional features include:

-Vance and Hines 2 into 1 Competition Series black exhaust that sounds awesome <---message me and I'll send you a link so you can hear these pipes and see the bike run!!!!
-16" Black apes (Burly brand gorilla apes)
-Air ride suspension (factory)
-Custom wheels
-Pre-wired for ipod or iphone.  All you have to do is plug in your tunes and go!
-Pre-wired for additional saddlebag speakers. (All you'll need is a set of saddlebag lids that accept speakers). Just plug them in and you are done.

Seat is OEM and has a few small tears aroubd the edges (nothing major in my opinion). There are some very minor scratches on the rear fender area in between the bags and rear fender (not noticeable at all).  The radio is also missing the volume knob.

Now for the title stuff..

The bike had a salvage title and is now fully ready to receive the rebuilt title once the title is transferred into your name .  We have acquired all necessary documentation from the appropriate Penn-Dot approved shop and state agencies needed to acquire the rebuilt title.  Our professional assessment is that the bike was unfairly labeled as salvage in Nevada because of very expensive options the motorcycle has that the insurance company felt were too expensive to repair.  The insurance company Actual Cash Value (ACV) listed the bike at $29,550.  A copy of the original listing is included in the pictures.  You can also see the original state of the bike.

We are offering this bike at less than 50% of its ACV.  The bike has already gone through very stringent PA extended safety inspection.  It passed in flying colors.  We have all the documentation to assist you in obtaining a rebuilt title in any state.  Please bid with confidence.

Please feel free to make me an offer.  Every offer made will be considered.

I require a non-refundable deposit (USD American Dollars only...I believe PayPal automatically swaps currency) via Pay-Pal in the amount of $500 at the immediate end of auction.  I reserve the right to re-list the bike if a deposit is not received.  I require the remainder of the FULL payment within 7 days of the end of the auction.  I will accept certified checks, money orders, cashiers checks, etc via mail.  After money is received and bike is picked up, I will mail all the paper work via first class mail unless the shipping company requires it to ship the bike.

Absolutely no warranty is implied with this motorcycle. It is AS-IS.

Buyer is 100% responsible for shipping, any shipping charges as well as finding a shipping company and making the arrangements for pick up.  I am willing to help in any way I can.  I WILL NOT DEAL OUTSIDE OF EBAY.  Concluding this transaction through Ebay protects both you and me.

Bike is for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally.

You are getting an amazing motorcycle for a lot less then a dealer would ask and cheaper then any other Road Glide.  Don't let the re-built title frighten you.  This bike has been fully certified by the appropriate state agencies in order to deem it road worthy and safe.  Happy bidding, and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Off-Road Motorcycle and Free-Ride Bicycle Compared

Thu, 11 Dec 2008

What if anything do bicycles and motorcycles have in common? Besides the whole two-wheel thing, it isn’t outright apparent that these two “handle-barred beasts” share more than ancient ancestry. Modern Off-road motorcycle and Free-ride bicycle designs side-by-side illustrate how much technology the two have in common.

Ohio Man to be Buried on 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Billie Leo Standley died last weekend from lung cancer, but before he died, the 82-year-old wished for the world to know he was going to ride off to heaven. To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. Warning: A graphic photograph of Standley in his casket can be viewed on the Dayton Daily Times website.
