When looking for a new touring style motorcycle you should make sure you check out the Harley-Davidson Street Glide. It is a powerful motorcycle that has so many amenities and comforts. The legendary Harley style, comfort, and forward thinking technology definitely are seen in this machine. We all know Harley-Davidson has forward thinking when it comes to the engines they supplies its motorcycles. The Street Glide model is not different. For starters it has a 1687.9 cc, four-stroke, overhead valve, two-cylinder V Twin. This engine has been designed with electronic sequential port fuel injection (ESPFI) and a lighter piston design. These new 2013 features and the six-speed manual drive together make for a smoother drive from first engaging the engine to your destination. Each time you shift, whether it is up or downshifting, will be as smooth as the last one. It has an unmatched ability to take extra payload weight and those hills up ahead. Most people just love the Harley-Davidson signature rumble. The four point isolation system was introduced to secure the engine just a bit more. We now know the 2012 Street Glide has get up and go, maneuverability, and just feels good under you. However, there is more. It has style and so many amenities. One of the first things that will catch your eye is the bat wing style fairing. First introduced in 1969 it is still going strong. To add to the comfort a deeper seat has been combined with a thinner width for less thigh pressure. The Street Glide has also been equip with engine idle temperature management strategy (EITMS) which shuts off the back cylinder during idle producing less heat under the driver and passenger. So many details have been looked at to make this ride just what you want to take home. This is a meticulously cared for 5,506 mile 2013 Street Glide shown in one of Harley's HOTTEST colors Ember Red Sunglo!

Harley-Davidson to Assemble More Models in India

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Harley-Davidson is expanding its assembly operations in India, increasing the number of models imported as complete knockdown kits to nine. Harley-Davidson will now assemble the Fat Boy, Fat Boy Special and Heritage Softail Classic in India, joining six models already being assembled in India. The move follows India’s new budget which increases import duties on motorcycles with engines larger than 800cc to 75% from the previous rate of 60%.

Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.

2022 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST Review

Defining the sport-touring cruiser Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield Perhaps what I love the most about the English language is its flexibility, how you can bump disparate words together and create something with an entirely new meaning. When it comes to motorcycles, the words sport and touring bring to mind two very different kinds of motorcycles. Sporting motorcycles place an emphasis on handling, acceleration, and braking, while touring bikes tend to focus on cargo capacity, rider comfort, and long-range capability.
