Harley-Davidson Touring description

The 2011 Harley-Davidson CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide is one of four special CVO bikes available for '11, and is priced at $36,499 with a Black Ember & Rio Red with Flame graphic paint scheme. About 1,500 CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glides will be built. When it comes to cruiser-style motorcycles it doesn't get much better than Harley-Davidson's Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) collection. These high-end, American-made street bikes blend boutique hardware, sophisticated electronics, and paint with an elevated degree of fit and finish. This gives the rider the best of both worlds: the exclusiveness of a one-off custom with the everyday reliability of a production motorcycle from a prestigious American factory.

Each CVO model uses an up-spec Screamin' Eagle Twin Cam 110 V-Twin with 1803cc of power. This fuel-injected and air cooled motor is the largest-displacement engine produced by The Motor Company and is only available from the factory in CVO models.

Due to being forced to work out of state, this beast is just sitting in my garage and not being appreciated as she needs to be; with only 743 miles, this is a SCREAMIN' DEAL at $30,000.

The pinnacle of Harley-Davidson touring luxury and performance features:

*Suspension consists of a conventional fork and twin rear shocks.

*Heated, two-up seat with leather inserts, and matching adjustable backrests for rider and passenger.

*Dual mufflers feature new chrome billet end caps with black spears.

*The Road Tech zumo 660 GPS navigation system, Sirius Satellite Radio, CB and CD player.

*Remote-control power locks on the Tour-Pak, saddlebags and ignition are also standard equipment.

*Along with Cruise control, Custom passenger armrests, custom chain and gear cover.

Fri, 09 Mar 2012

The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec is the 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion. More from Harley-Davidson on Krawiec’s win: “I think this is really a statement on the season, to end it with an all-Harley final and the championship, and with Willie G.
