Rolling nostalgia you can ride over the horizon, the Road King Classic incorporates styling elements from the past in a touring motorcycle with modern technology. The 2009 Road King Classic retains its 16-inch front and rear laced steel wheels and wide-whitewall tires. Tooled leather covers the seat trim and the leather-covered saddlebags. Touring features include a large detachable windshield, auxiliary passing lights, and standard cruise control. Two-tone fender graphics are new for 2009, and a new license bracket locates the plate above the tail lamp. A new chassis designed to deliver precise responsive maneuverability, increased capacity and greater comfort for rider and passenger underpins the seven-model Harley-Davidson Touring family for 2009. Incorporating an all-new frame, swingarm, engine mounting system, wheels and tires, the new chassis forms the foundation for what are truly all-new motorcycles. The key styling elements of these motorcycles, however, are essentially unchanged so that the distinctive character and mechanical beauty of each Touring model is preserved. This is a 12862 Mile 2009 Road King Classic shown in one of Harley's RAREST colors FLAME BLUE PEARL!

Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Party Is Just A Week Away

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

Harley-Davidson has been preparing for its 110th anniversary party for the past year, celebrating in 11 countries on six different continents. In the past year, Harley-Davidson employees, dealers and riders have shared thousands of amazing experiences, including a ride through the Tibetan Plateau in China, a parade along the beaches of Sao Paulo and even a Papal blessing. But now the party is coming home to Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend, which promises to be the biggest celebration of them all.  Milwaukee residents have always been cordial hosts for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts who make the journey to the City of Festivals from around the world. One Anniversary tradition is the welcoming home of thousands of riders by Milwaukee area residents who stand on the city’s highway overpasses with homemade welcome signs as riders arrive in Milwaukee.

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Icons Model May Be the Low Rider El Diablo

Tue, 22 Feb 2022

The devil is in the details Earlier this year, Harley-Davidson revealed a new Low Rider ST featuring a FXRT-inspired fairing. Initial reaction to the Low Rider ST was very positive, with Jochen Zeitz, Harley-Davidson chief executive officer, claiming in Harley-Davidson’s Q4 earnings call “demand was so high for this bike that we sold out our first consumer allocation in 10 minutes.” While the retro fairing might not appeal to everyone, one other critique about the FXLRST (and a few other bikes in the 2022 lineup) is the rather drab selection of colors: Vivid Black and Gunship Gray. If you’re looking for a more vibrant Low Rider ST, you may want to wait a bit longer, as Harley-Davidson will be introducing a new variant to be called the “Low Rider El Diablo.” The name appears in vehicle emissions certification from the U.S.
