Harley-Davidson Touring tech info
Harley-Davidson Touring description
This motorcycle is in excellent condition. Built for two up touring with the bike fully loaded with gear. There are to many extras to name. From the heavy extreme temp plug wires, the Barnett clutches to the j&m speaker system. I have a diary of the parts and work that was done on the bike. There is close to 3000.00 just in the engine. It runs very strong and it travels excellent. That is one of the reasons we rebuilt the engine to different specs. It was built for touring with two up and loaded with gear. You do not have to worry about sacrificing power and detonation ping when you can only find low octane gas when your traveling and you can not get the higher octane gas in that area. The builders are all professional builders and knew exactly what I wanted from the bike. The cylinders/pistons/rings were done by Hillside cycle out of NY. The heads were done and flowed to match the cams (andrew's 254h) by mega flow out of butler,pa. The exhaust was decided on by Hemrick performance out of Kernersville, North Carolina. He did the tune (screaming eagle race tuner) and decided that the 2 into 1 staged header system from Rhinehart was the best choice. He did different runs with different exhaust systems to find the desired outcome. There are two oil coolers built into the system (HD and a 6 row jagg) to deal with traffic heat and the accessory switch runs two small fans on the coolers that pushes air threw them when you are stuck sitting in traffic.

A (Not So) Silent Night from Harley-Davidson – Video
Tue, 17 Dec 2013It’s probably not conducive for sleeping in heavenly peace, but Harley-Davidson has released a Christmas-themed ad with the song “Silent Night” performed by the revving V-Twin engine of a Softail Breakout. Titled “The Sound of the Festive Season”, the ad spot was produced by U.K agency Big Communications for Harley-Davidson Europe Middle East and Africa. According to AdWeek, the ad was conceived, sold and produced in just 72 hours.
Milwaukee’s The Iron Horse Hotel
Tue, 19 May 2009Historically speaking, the kinds of places that have openly accepted or invited motorcycle enthusiasts and their bikes were lacking in a number of areas. While they may have been convenient and offered motorcycle-friendly amenities, they did so with little comfort or luxury. On the other hand, accommodations on the higher end of the spectrum were pretentious and inconvenient for storing bikes and gear.
