Harley-Davidson Touring description

All --

I have for sale an IMMACULATE, adult-driven 2009 Harley Davidson Road King FLHR. This bike is absolutely perfect, and with just 9,300 miles is barely broken in. I just purchased this bike from Hannum's HD in Sellersville, PA. I paid $200 to have the bike checked out before I bought it through their Rider to Rider program and an additional $1,200 in upgrades / tuning at Pikes Peak HD when I got it back here to Colorado Springs. I trailered the bike back to Colorado Springs thinking that my wife would come around and that we could ride together with friends, but that is not going to happen.

Bike comes with:

-- H-D Screamin' Eagle Super Tuner Kit
-- Vance and Hines Slip Ons
-- H-D Cover
-- Trickle Charger
-- H-D Screamin' Eagle Heavy Breather Elite Performance Air Breather Kit
-- H-D Extended Rear Brake Pedal
-- H-D Front and Rear Shifter
-- H-D Helmet (Extra Large)
-- Riding Boots (Size 10)
-- Riding Jacket (XL)

As noted by one viewer, this bike DOES have anti-lock brakes.

I can help arrange for shipping.

Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and Roller Derby? [Video]

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

Canadian publication Cycle Canada had some fun on a photoshoot for its review of the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight for the July issue. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.

Harley-Davidson's Production Stoppage Was Caused by Non-compliant Brake Lines

Fri, 29 Jul 2022

Production ramps up to meet year-end targets Back in May, Harley-Davidson announced it would temporarily halt motorcycle production due to a “regulatory compliance matter” regarding an unspecified part from a third-party supplier. Harley-Davidson initially estimated the stoppage would last two weeks but it eventually lasted 19 days before production resumed on June 6. The actual cause for the delay remained unclear some speculating the issue was related to the powertrains, as the stoppage only affected Harley-Davidson’s gas engine-powered motorcycles and not the electric LiveWires.

Harley Declares Women Riders Month

Tue, 10 Feb 2009

Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.
