Harley-Davidson Touring description

2008 H-D FLTR Road Glide

The FLTR Road Glide features an aerodynamic, shark nose frame mounted fairing that reduces weight on the fork and handlebars. A larger 6 gallon tank, a black powder coated engine with chrome treatment and black nine spoke cast aluminum wheels are all new for 2008. Hard saddlebags, electronic cruise control and the 40-watt Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon are standard equipment. Dual covered headlamps, slash cut muffler tips and slashing graphics give the Road Glide rakish style. It was dealer optioned in Candy Red Sunglo that just sparkles in the sunlight. The engine was upgraded with a 103” big bore kit that is controlled by a Harley Super Tuner. It is fed via an Arlen Ness Super Sucker intake and it sound just plain nasty ripping through its true dual Python performance exhaust. It has been nicely optioned with a quick release passenger back rest and luggage rack in addition an oil cooler, heat deflectors, driving lights, highway pegs, grips, covers for the primary and gas cap, it is wired for a GPS unit and the rear turn signals stay on when not in use for extra safety. The inner fairing, intake and horn cover were all color matched as well and look great. It is a 2 owner bike that has been pampered since day one and was just dealer serviced at 27,282 miles. The tires and brakes were installed on its prior service at 25,062 miles. With its recent service history this bike is in need of nothing but a new home. If you could see yourself gliding on this beauty you better BUY IT NOW before it’s too late!

Harley-Davidson has revealed a new member to its Dyna family featuring quick change convertibility from touring to cruiser mode. As we expected, the new Harley-Davidson Dyna Switchback features hard saddlebags and fork-mounted windshield that can be removed quickly and without tools, allowing it to change from a touring motorcycle to a cruiser, and back again. The Dyna Switchback uses Harley-Davidson’s Twin Cam 103 engine, 2-into-1 chrome exhaust, and five-spoke cast aluminum wheels with full fenders.

Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and Roller Derby? [Video]

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

Canadian publication Cycle Canada had some fun on a photoshoot for its review of the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight for the July issue. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.
