Harley-Davidson Touring description

2007 Harley Davidson Elctra Glide FLHTPI

This Bike is the police version I bought it in Washington DC it was a milatary police bike. the Bike has the 103 engine with a speed transmission. This bike runs great with no problems and transmission shifts smoothly with no problems or noises. Also this bike has 50 amp charging system intead of the standard 30 amp which would be great for a custom bagger with extras. I just had the bike serviced and the local HD dealership and all fuilds changed and clutch adjusted. I have taken off all police equipment and have taken off bag bars and replaced with street glide bars to have a cleaner look. this bike does not have a radio installed or speakers. also i have taken the air ride seat off and replaced with a new harley 2 person seat as well as add rear floor boards for passanger. the paint is in fair condtion for the age.the rear saddle bags and inserts white color do not match the white on the bike they where painted when I got the bike. I asume it was due to removing the decals. also it does not have a oil temp gauge u can see in pictures. i just havent bought one to install. I was going to build a streached bagger out of this bike but due to a divorce im unable too. Over all bike rides great and runs great. If you Have any other questions please ask.

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle. However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
