Harley-Davidson Touring description

2005 Harley Davidson Street Glide Conversion. This bike started out as a stock Road King Custom. The engine was upgraded from the stock 88 cu in to 124" with the best components such as a S&S crank, R&R Heads and Woods Cams. The bike now makes close to twice the power of a stock motor but the focus of the build was reliability. From there is was converted to a Street Glide using all OEM Harley parts - New hard saddlebags and new fairing.

The bike runs amazing and is a blast to ride with gobs of torque while at the same time has nice road manners for just cruising.

The bike has approximately 14,000 miles with 5,000 on the motor. 5 speed transmission with chain drive instead of a rear belt for reliability.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
