Harley-Davidson Touring description
This motorcycle is in great condition but does have a salvage title. I purchased the bike from the widow of the owner 2 years ago and she did not have a clue why it was salvaged. It rides straight and true. It has a small ding on the front fender and has a small ding on the tank I rode to Sedona Arizona from Albuquerque this year and did not have any problems. It road well on the mountain roads and on I-40. I changed the mufflers back to stock but I also have Rinehart mufflers that were on it when I bought it. I like hearing the stereo without a headset. It also has a power commander installed, whatever that is. the tires have plenty of tread and the oil has been changed with harley full sythentic, so it is ready to ride. I also put a little windshield on it but I have the original one. It also had a little windshield pouch that I removed that will go with the bike. I also have soft nylon bags that go inside of the saddlebags as well as two matching full face helmets. I have never tried to use the intercom so I dont know if it works cause I dont have the headsets. This bike has the 1452cc engine and it is fuel injected so it starts easily and there are no carb problems to deal with. I did update the seat but you can also have the original one. I will not pay for shipping so the buyer will need to arrange for that. I will also be out of town until September 12th so the bike will not be available for shipping or pick up until the 13th.
This bike without the salvage title would sell for more than 10 grand. This is a sweet deal!

Three-Year-Old Motorcycle Prodigy?
Tue, 18 Aug 2009Even though Tiger woods started paying golf at age two, this story of a three-year-old boy from New Delhi, India is probably just as impressive, maybe more. Azeem Khan, photographed on the Royal Enfield Bullet above, has been granted a special license by judges in India allowing him to ride his motorcycle on side roads but is not allowed out on the main roads by himself. Khan’s father had to customize the bike so that the young boy could reach the controls and prove that he could handle the motorcycle on his own. I used to sit him on my bike and he would always grab at the controls.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $354.2 million over the second quarter of 2014, thanks to a 12.4% increase in sales revenue. Actual motorcycle sales volume stayed about even, however, with unit sales increasing to just 90,218 motorcycles from 90,193 sold in the same quarter last year. Though sales were statistically the same as they were last year, Harley-Davidson generated $1.48 billion in revenue from motorcycle sales alone, up 16.2% from the $1.27 billion reported in the second quarter of 2013.
EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America
Wed, 10 Aug 2011Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.
