Harley-Davidson Touring description

1999 Harley Road King Classic FLHRCUI Black & Chrome with numerous “Live to Ride..Ride to Live” add on items on it including the long stem mirrors.  No major damage such as dents, regular wear on a 14 year old bike.  Just had it looked over & no major issues were found.  Tire in good shape, year or more of life in them I was told.  It has 47K (+/-) miles on it although the odometer says about 28K.  I had it replaced when it started malfunctioning.  This was my bike since it had 18K on it. This is a great bike for those long rides, with rider & passenger backrests & speakers for your MP3 or whatever else using a 3.5mm plug.  This also has a Harley brand bag that goes on the luggage rack that I wired to the speakers and added a 12volt power supply to so cell phones or any other device that needs charging (it is not in the pictures).  Thanks for your interest. You must pick this bike up in person with cash in the amount if the purchase.  This Bike is for sale locally so if it sells, this auction will be ended.

IT'S 35 YEARS since Evel Knievel attempted to jump 13 London buses at Wembley Stadium. Riding a heavy, slow Harley-Davidson XR750, the American daredevil had serious reservations about the jump, admitting the take-off ramp was too short, therefore limiting the bike's speed. But even though the plucky American knew his chances of pulling off the stunt were slim, he was reluctant to disappoint the 80,000-strong Wembley crowd.

Harley-Davidson has been building motorcycles for a long time. Over 105 years in fact, according to the summer celebration I attended in Milwaukee last summer. Who could have guessed over a century ago that the company would be alive and thriving today?

Harley-Davidson Adds Twin Cam 96 and 103 Engines to Factory Remanufacturing Program

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

Harley-Davidson has added the Twin Cam 96, Twin Cam 103 and 2003-2006 CVO Twin Cam 103 engines to its engine remanufacturing program. The program, which previously accepted 1984 and newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88, Twin Cam 88B and Twin Cam 95 powerplants, takes used engines, rebuilds and repaints them. Customers can take their existing Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a dealer which will remove the engine and send it back to the factory.
