For Sale is a Custom 1979 Shovelhead in a pre 70's frame. Runs/ drives very good
This is a NO RESERVE auction This is a nice example of a good condition custom build 1340 shovelhead including the original pre 70's frame w/ pogo style solo seat and custom paint and body work lots of custom and aftermarket parts(as listed below) Original pre 70's frame w/ 1979 80" shovelhead motor. Motor is kick and electric start. NEW/ AFTERMARKET PARTS
Very nice example of a classic/ custom flh setup. Isn't perfect, but close. does have a couple of paint chips- on the rear/ front fenders(see pics). engine/ trim detailing has some scratches and chips in finish from age. Starter solenoid is weak and recommend replaced(temperamental and works when it wants).I typically kick start it(3-4 kicks) Brakes are in excellent condition.Tires are in good condition w/ 50% tread left. Engine doesnt smoke and has good compression w/ no oil blow bye on the rings Bike has a clean/ clear Numbers matching Michigan title Buyer responsible for all shipping costs.Bike is located in Durand,MI zip 48429.Local pickup offered. The new Harley-Davidson Latin America headquarters supports the Motor Company’s subsidiaries in Brazil, Mexico and other countries in Central and South America. Harley-Davidson projects international sales to exceed 40% of the company’s revenue by 2014 with the Latin America office a prime area of growth.
Zero Motorcycles Named to Made in USA Foundation Hall of Fame
Tue, 03 Jul 2012The Made in the USA Foundation has named Zero Motorcycles to its 2012 Hall of Fame class, recognizing the electric motorcycle manufacturer’s commitment to American manufacturing. Zero Motorcycles, founded in 2006 in Santa Cruz, Calif., by former NASA engineer Neal Saiki, becomes the second motorcycle manufacturer named to the Foundation’s Hall of Fame. Harley-Davidson was inducted in 2011.
