Harley-Davidson Touring description

Beautifully Redone 1979 FLH Shovelhead 1340.

I'm selling yet another one of my bikes. I'm slowly trying to thin my collection of Shovelheads. This bike has been completely gone through top to bottom and is like no bike i've ever done, no expense was spared. I tore the bike all the way down. I had the motor, the transmission, the primary, the clutches all redone. The motor is all painted and detailed and looks literally brand new. The bike has a new chain and new sprockets as well as all the bearings and the axles. The wheels, tires and tubes are new. The pipes are brand new Paughco 40" straights. I did all the aluminum including the rockers, primary cover, cam cover, front end and headlight housing in a brushed typed aluminum. The police style solo seat is, you guessed it brand new along with the springs and bracket. It has new 11" progressive suspension shocks in the rear.

The paint job is brand new as well. I didn't install any gas tank emblems yet as i was receiving mixed reviews from friends as to what would look best. I designed the gold and black paint job around the emblems pictured. I made it so the red line would enter in the one point of the emblem and down through the other side. I will leave it without the emblems for now and if you win the auction you can tell me which ones to install. I also have the front and rear chrome bumpers for the bike. If you prefer those on i will install them for you, if not i'll leave them off. Both fender tips and the front fender trim is new.

When i say i went right through this bike top and bottom i wasn't kidding. It's like buying a brand new Shovel right at the dealer but better. You will not be disappointed with this perfect, turn key and go Shovelhead. Time to go turn some heads. If you know shovels you'll be in love. These bikes are as fun at 10mph as they are at 80mph. Leave your twin cam at home and ride a real Harley!

If you have any questions please call Tony (401) 316-0373. I drive truck for a living so phone calls are the best way to contact me. thank you and happy bidding!

Harley’s Ed Krawiec is 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Champ

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec is the 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion. Krawiec clinched the title with a second-round win at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway that eliminated Lucas Oil Buell rider Hector Arana Jr., the only rider in the field with a chance to overtake Krawiec for the championship. Krawiec advanced to the final round and lost to his Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines teammate Andrew Hines, who finished the season third in points. More from Harley-Davidson on Krawiec’s win: “I think this is really a statement on the season, to end it with an all-Harley final and the championship, and with Willie G.
