1972 Harley Davidson FL

An exceptional shovel head which has been owned by the same person for 30 years.

A former Police bike and purchased from the Police department auction.

Previous owner commissioned a complete, no expense spared, mechanical and cosmetic, restoration by a professional shovelhead specialist a number of years ago. Seldom ridden since and always kept in climate controlled storage.

Bike has a very tall fourth gear for highway riding. Engine and trans completely redone, Starts, runs, and rides like new.

Additional chrome plating on headlight surround, fork legs, swing arm and handlebar controls and engine components. (Small area of chrome peeling on front rocker box) Custom seat. Hard bags.

Paint is beautiful, smooth, deep, and clear.

GMA disk brakes and calipers installed.

This bike is an exceptional example of a model of Harley that usually has had to many owners and many short comings.

This is not your average shovelhead. If you want a good shovel this may be the one.

Built to ride and run right.

Motorcycle Stirrups – Yes, They Exist!

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

What do you get when a lifelong horse rider and motorcyclist from Nebraska gets inspired to combine his two loves? Why, motorcycle stirrups, of course! The idea came to Devin Santana, proprietor of Nebraska City Iron Works, one day when he was riding his Harley-Davidson down the road and looked down at his feet.

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Icons Model May Be the Low Rider El Diablo

Tue, 22 Feb 2022

The devil is in the details Earlier this year, Harley-Davidson revealed a new Low Rider ST featuring a FXRT-inspired fairing. Initial reaction to the Low Rider ST was very positive, with Jochen Zeitz, Harley-Davidson chief executive officer, claiming in Harley-Davidson’s Q4 earnings call “demand was so high for this bike that we sold out our first consumer allocation in 10 minutes.” While the retro fairing might not appeal to everyone, one other critique about the FXLRST (and a few other bikes in the 2022 lineup) is the rather drab selection of colors: Vivid Black and Gunship Gray. If you’re looking for a more vibrant Low Rider ST, you may want to wait a bit longer, as Harley-Davidson will be introducing a new variant to be called the “Low Rider El Diablo.” The name appears in vehicle emissions certification from the U.S.

Harley-Davidson Denies Plans for Small-Displacement Model for India

Fri, 18 May 2012

India’s 13-million-unit-per-year motorcycle market is comprised of mostly small-displacement models, so it sounds odd at first when manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph enter the market with their larger-displacment models. The question quickly arises as to whether they will stick with their existing big-bore models or introduce an all-new, small-capacity model for the Indian market. Manufacturers like the Big Four from Japan already produce smaller models for other markets so it’s a relatively easy task for them to introduce new models such as Honda‘s recently launched 109cc Dream Yuga.
