Harley-Davidson Touring description

Vintage 1968 Harley Davidson Electraglide. Unrestored and looks great. Make a statement at Sturgis.

Components I've added since owning the bike:
Windshield
Hardbags
Horn

Maintenance I've done
Replaces rear shocks
Changed front shock oil
Replaced front wheel, spokes and hub
Replaced rear wheel, trued and balanced both
New rubber and tubes
Upgraded generator to alternator
Replaced spun upper bushing, replaced pistons, rings and bored cylinders
Rebuilt master cylinder, replaced steel line
Replaced front and rear chains
Replaced rear sprocket
Upgraded front sprocket from 22 to 23 tooth
Had speedometer rebuilt and calibrated for sprocket upgrade

I built a slip on rear seat and backrest for the passenger that fits where the luggage rack currently is.  This bike has been to Sturgis and back from Minneapolis many times, and not on a trailer.  I like a lot of the little things about the bike, the throttle stays where you leave it (cruise), the rock shield over the headlight, the original paint.  It all has a great look.

A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.

Storm Tears Facade Off Colorado Harley-Davidson Dealership

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

A Harley-Davidson dealership in Pueblo, Colo., suffered some serious damage after heavy winds from a spring storm ripped off the wall of the dealership’s second floor. The 34,000 square-foot Outpost Harley-Davidson dealership on I-25 in Pueblo usually features a high front wall that sticks up above the building’s gable roof (see the “before” picture below). The damage occurred early in the morning and it’s not clear at this point if anyone was around when it happened.

Church of MO: 1997 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic

Sun, 17 Apr 2022

How many 25-year old motorcycles are still being sold anyway? The Honda XR650L springs to mind, but other than it, it’s too early on Easter Sunday to investigate further. Granted, the Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic has undergone enough changes as to really not be the same machine anymore, yet that indelible American profile, architecture, and riding experience remain the same.
