Harley-Davidson Touring description

***NO RESERVE***2008 Harley Davidson Electra Glide FLHTP edition that was in service with a local law enforcement agency. It was a frontline patrol bike before being used to train motorcycle officers. Starts, runs, and rides great. Odometer reads 35,112 miles. Fast 103 c.i. motor. 6 speed transmission shifts through all gears smoothly. Good tires, brakes, and all fluids recently changed. No leaks, no smoke. Serviced regurlarly while in service as a patrol bike. The paint is in good shape but bike does have some minor fiberglass scrapes on the corners of the front fairing and some underside scrapes from leaning too hard in the curves. Has paint matching hard saddle bags. No radio. Original owner's manual. Current Texas inspection until 4/14. Clear blue title. Happy bidding

We reserve the right to end this auction early due to it being sold locally as well.

A deposit of $500 is required within 48 hours of auction close, or the bike will be re-listed and an unpaid item case will be opened against you.

Actor and Avid Rider, Lorenzo Lamas, to Lead Charity Ride for Abused Children

Thu, 08 Mar 2012

Lorenzo Lamas, the heartthrob who played ex-cop Reno Raines, a chopper/cruiser-riding beefcake sporting a flowing mane (that most women wished they had), out for justice in the ’90s TV drama, Renegade, is a real life motorcyclist, and will lead a charity ride on June 3 as the grand marshal for Child Abuse Awareness. Slated to join Lamas are actors/riders from Sons of Anarchy, Southland and American Ninja, as well as law enforcement and the general public, on the ride that will depart from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina del Rey, Calif., and end at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach, Calif. Here’s the full set of details on the ride from the press release: LOS ANGELES, CA – March 8, 2012 – Organizers have announced that the much anticipated ’Ride to the Dunes’ for Child Abuse Awareness, led by Grand Marshal, Lorenzo Lamas, scheduled forSunday June 3, 2012 will begin with a beautiful ride from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson, 4141 Lincoln Blvd., Marina Del Rey, CA to the serene Newport Dunes Resort, Newport Beach, CA.

Harley-Davisdon Claims US Market Share Lead for Women, Minorities and Young Adults

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

For some time now, Harley-Davidson has been trying to fight the stereotyped image of its customer base as being predominantly older, Caucasian males. Harley-Davidson‘s Stereotypical Harley campaign became a big part of the company’s advertising efforts in 2012, featuring real Harley-Davidson owners and showcasing the large diversity of its riders. Fighting against preconceptions can be difficult but Harley-Davidson has some numbers to prove its motorcycles are popular with other demographics including young adults, women and minorities.
