Harley-Davidson Sportster description
This is a 2014 Harley Davidson XL1200C Custom, in vivid black with a grey pinstripe. Only 1,200 miles (I have a 2 year old son... motorcycle enthusiasts will know the rest!). Garage kept and driven by experience rider, generally on long country roads during good weather. Includes these dealer installed options: quick detach windshield, sissy bar, back rest, luggage rack, battery tender, Garmin Zumo 390 motorcycle specific GPS (and this is a super-pricry GPS especially for motorcycles... you can select winding roads, operate it with gloves, and it's Bluetooth, so you can get directions in your helmet). Also includes a decently sized Jafram no-name leather sissy bar bag... great for running around town, and easily removable if you don't like it. |

Fri, 25 Apr 2014An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed
Thu, 04 Aug 2011The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
