2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight, Sportster Forty-Eight - The 2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight model XL1200X is one of the garage custom motorcycles in the Harley Dark Custom line. As bare bones as this bike is, there is so much more that can and has been done. Up front, the Roland Sands bars and beefy fork brace give a very aggressive look and feel. The Black Diamond grips and pegs along with the smoked lenses add to the Dark Custom look. To finish off the custom look, this bike comes with a spring seat, tall sissy bar, pin-stripping, and a set of, ground pounding, Vance & Hines Pipes. Budding Artist and MDA Ambassador Create Motorcycle Painting to Benefit MDA
Sat, 27 Jul 2013Reagan Imhoff dreams of a career in art, and the determined 8-year-old and MDA Ambassador won’t let Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type II get in the way of those dreams. Her parents’ New Berlin, WI, home is plastered with hundreds of her drawings, and a painting of hers sold for $5,000 at the MDA Black-N-Blue Ball in May. Local artist and Harley-Davidson designer Mathew Hintz is encouraging her passion.
Motorcycle Thefts Down 11.2% in 2010
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Motorcycle thefts in the U.S. are down for the fourth consecutive year in 2010, according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. There were 49,791 reported motorcycle thefts in 2010, an 11.2% drop from the 56,093 thefts reported in 2009.
Harley-Davidson Museum Showing Living Lost Photographs by Josh Kurpius
Thu, 09 Jan 2014The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit featuring photographs from custom builder and artist Josh Kurpius. Opening Jan. 17, the Living Lost Photographs by Josh Kurpius art exhibit includes 30 photographs taken during a series of road trips Kurpius took with friends, all riding vintage Harleys.
