Harley-Davidson Sportster description
2012 XL1200CP Sportster custom built by TSI Ellington, CT. Bought new for over $14K for my wife. At first she refused even to consider selling it because it was her baby, but now we have a real baby (almost six months old) and my wife has finally decided she won't be riding for a while so now she is willing to put it up for adoption. Continuing to pay insurance and taxes on a bike that's not being ridden is downright silly ...
The bike has never been in an accident, never been down, always been garaged, and has very low milage (4654 miles as of the day of this posting, although that might change if she goes for some last rides). This is around 1/4 of the milage Kelley lists for a 2012 bike. It will come with its original equipment two-person seat along with its current single person seat. I put in a new Scorpion battery earlier this year. Even though we keep our bikes on battery tenders over the winter her original HD battery died anyway. It is denim black, a very cool color. It has the normal wear from being ridden on Connecticut back roads in all seasons (as you can see from the pictures); we avoid the highways. With a bit of spit and polish it could be showroom quality. As for performance, it moves a heck of a lot faster than my Fat Boy Lo ever did. However, I do strongly suggest that the buyer have a dealer give it its 5K miles checkup since during her pregnancy it wasn't ridden very much and probably should be given a look over by a pro. I've included a pic of my wife on the moving bike to encourage the ladies to move from the back part of the seat to the front part of the seat. The fine print: I'm the original owner and the bike's title is clear. The bike, bill of sale and title go to you when your full payment (after initial Ebay deposit) by cashiers check clears. The bike is sold as is, as a final sale, with no guarantees or warranties. I reserve the right to reject offers from buyers who don't appear serious or who have displayed questionable behavior on Ebay. Since we have no experience with making arrangements for motorcycle transport you are responsible for pickup or making pickup and transportation arrangements. |
