Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Up for sale is a ready to ride Harley Davidson Iron XL1200 sportster from 2011 with under 200 miles on a new engine. This project has been my baby for the last two years. It is not your ordinary sportster, but an old school bobber / rat bike that is ready to ride. I bought the bike in 2012 with 1,100 miles on it from Harley Davidson of Southampton, MA. They've done all the work on the bike as well. I have about $15k into this bike and here is a list of upgrades:

1. Whitewall Dunlop Tires
2. Harley Sissy bar and mounting bracket
3. Dropped the back end 1" and added progressive shocks
4. Harley upgraded air filter and Dark Custom medallion inserted
5. Harley white retro grips
6. Licks Motorcycle Sportster saddle bag
7. Paughco dished has tank (New for 2013 to fit engines with Electronic Fuel Injection. I got only the second one in the country.) You will get the original tank as well as shown in a few pictures
8. Vance & Hines Side Shots mufflers with tape wrap
9. 12" Z bar Ape Hangers
10. Upgraded from the 883 engine to a 1200 engine kit this year and only rode about 180 miles on the brand new engine!

This is a very special bike, that I hope goes to a great home. The title is clear and I have included a picture.

Get a $15,000 motorcycle with an attitude all its own. Priced to sell...

2022 Harley-Davidson Road Glide ST and Street Glide ST First Look

Wed, 26 Jan 2022

ST models offer CVO-level performance Taking inspiration from its championship-winning King of the Baggers factory race bikes, Harley-Davidson introduces new, performance-focused ST versions of the Road Glide and Street Glide. Like Kyle Wyman’s King of the Baggers Road Glide Special racer, the Road Glide ST and Street Glide ST have been upgraded with some Screamin’ Eagle Performance Parts upgrades. Harley didn’t go so far as to install the same Screamin’ Eagle 131ci crate engine, but the new ST models do come with the Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin with a high-flow intake, high-performance camshaft and a new exhaust to deliver the same level of performance as its CVO models.

Harley-Davidson Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $354.2 million over the second quarter of 2014, thanks to a 12.4% increase in sales revenue. Actual motorcycle sales volume stayed about even, however, with unit sales increasing to just 90,218 motorcycles from 90,193 sold in the same quarter last year. Though sales were statistically the same as they were last year, Harley-Davidson generated $1.48 billion in revenue from motorcycle sales alone, up 16.2% from the $1.27 billion reported in the second quarter of 2013.

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Team Unveils Restyled V-Rod Drag Bikes

Fri, 09 Mar 2012

The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.
