2008 Harley-Davidson Sportster Low XL1200L, There are only two features on this bike that differ from its factory set up. The first is a set of forward foot controls with Kuryakyn custom front foot pegs. The second is an engine guard that I hope that you will never have the occasion to use (except to mount highway pegs). There is a good reason that this model is called LOW . The riders seat sits just 26.3 inches above the tarmac. This is the 1200 (the smaller motor is an 883cc) model. It has standard fuel injection and a 4.5 gallon fuel tank. There is plenty of room for two and it will cruise smoothly thanks to its rubber mounted V-twin motor which also offers great fuel economy at freeway speeds. Tue, 17 Dec 2013It’s probably not conducive for sleeping in heavenly peace, but Harley-Davidson has released a Christmas-themed ad with the song “Silent Night” performed by the revving V-Twin engine of a Softail Breakout. Titled “The Sound of the Festive Season”, the ad spot was produced by U.K agency Big Communications for Harley-Davidson Europe Middle East and Africa. According to AdWeek, the ad was conceived, sold and produced in just 72 hours.
Harley-Davidson's Production Stoppage Was Caused by Non-compliant Brake Lines
Fri, 29 Jul 2022Production ramps up to meet year-end targets Back in May, Harley-Davidson announced it would temporarily halt motorcycle production due to a “regulatory compliance matter” regarding an unspecified part from a third-party supplier. Harley-Davidson initially estimated the stoppage would last two weeks but it eventually lasted 19 days before production resumed on June 6. The actual cause for the delay remained unclear some speculating the issue was related to the powertrains, as the stoppage only affected Harley-Davidson’s gas engine-powered motorcycles and not the electric LiveWires.
