Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200 Roadster, Great color, Highway pegs, Vance and Hines Exhaust - Nothing makes an impact on a gut like the time-honoured shape and raw power of the 1200 Roadster. It leaves an unsettled feeling in the pit of the stomach that refuses to sit still until it’s fed some throttle. That’s where the rubber-mounted, silver and wrinkle black Evolution engine doesn’t disappoint. High-compression, high-flow heads and performance cams, make this street machine run harder, faster and longer than ever. To go with the improved powertrain, the 1200 Roadster’s famed XL handling gets even better, thanks to the new stronger rear axle. We finished it off right. Sport tyres on laced wheels. Triple-disc brakes. Wide polished handlebar. Tach with 6,000 RPM redline. Chrome headlight visor. And classic fuel tank. There’s never been a better time to answer that rumble in the belly.

Pretty it may be, but you wouldn't catch me spending £160,000 on this 1915 Harley-Davidson 11-F Twin that's coming up for sale at a Bonhams auction. It's allegedly one of the most sought-after Harleys and has buyers from around the world itching to splash out on it. Not literally, you'd hope.

Harley-Davidson Ring Saved from a Filthy Fate

Wed, 07 Sep 2011

Here’s a story that might seem humorous at first but turns out to be a testament to a man’s love of motorcycling and the memories of a fallen friend. Ed Spalding of Terrace, British Columbia, Canada, and his close friend Roger Bourgoin bought Harley-Davidson motorcycles in 1991. To celebrate their purchases, the two also bought a pair of gold rings.
