The slotted chrome disc rear wheel wears a wide tire, nicely balancing out the swept-back handlebar and pullback riser. Power is big and immediate, with the rubber-mounted, chrome-covered Evolution engine. The high-compression, high-flow heads and performance cams get you going. The 4.5-gallon tank keeps you going longer. Just like the custom theme. Forward foot controls. Bullet headlight. And a brand-new optional Profile Laced wheel, shown here. A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.

In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.

Zero Motorcycles Named to Made in USA Foundation Hall of Fame
Tue, 03 Jul 2012The Made in the USA Foundation has named Zero Motorcycles to its 2012 Hall of Fame class, recognizing the electric motorcycle manufacturer’s commitment to American manufacturing. Zero Motorcycles, founded in 2006 in Santa Cruz, Calif., by former NASA engineer Neal Saiki, becomes the second motorcycle manufacturer named to the Foundation’s Hall of Fame. Harley-Davidson was inducted in 2011.
