2005 HARLEY DAVIDSON SPORTSTER 1200 C MOTORCYCLE 13K MILES ORIG PAINT
BOUGHT THIS SPORTY AT AN INSURANCE AUCTION. BIKE WAS CONSIDERED SALVAGE REBUILDABLE BUT THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH IT WAS IT NEEDED NEW FORWARD CONTROLS AND NEW TURN SIGNALS. EVERYTHING ELSE ON THIS BIKE IS EXACTLY HOW I GOT IT. AFTER REPLACING THOSE ITEMS, THE BIKE HAS BEEN INSPECTED BY THE DMV AND IS NOW BEING SOLD AS A "REBUILT" BIKE. ALL TINS AND PAINT ARE GOOD. NICE CHROME. GOOD WHEELS AND TIRES. BRAKES STILL HAVE MEAT ON THE PADS. THIS BIKE RUNS AND RIDES GREAT. ALL GOOD GEARS. SAMSON EXHAUST. FORWARD CONTROLS. Backflips on a Harley? [video]
Mon, 07 Dec 2009In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.
AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
