Harley-Davidson Sportster description

I am selling a 2005 Harley Davidson XL883 Low Sportster. This motorcycle has less than 4000 original miles! I have all service records for the bike. Starts right up every time! Runs and rides wonderfully. Never been dropped or in an accident.

The XL883 Low has one of the lowest seat heights among the Harley Davidson line. Perfect for the smaller rider. A person at 5'2" can comfortably place both feet flat on the ground with this bike.

In the past 6 months this bike has been entirely inspected top to bottom and tuned. This includes synthetic lubrication changes with the engine and primary. Fuel system has been cleaned and calibrated to work with the aftermarket mufflers. Brake fluid has been flushed with new DOT 4 fluid. The bike has received a new battery, new tires, and new tubes. Fork oil has been changed and the bike has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. Ready to ride anywhere.

The bike comes with many accessories. Included are leather saddle bags, passenger seat, padded sissy bar, leather tool bag, dust cover, and cycle shack side exit mufflers. Still have all original manuals and booklets.

All reasonable offers will be considered!

CARB Reveals 2014 Harley-Davidson Models, Including Some “Cool” Surprises

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

The California Air Resource Board has issued executive orders on a number of 2014 Harley-Davidson models, revealing much of the Motor Company’s upcoming product lineup. While most of the models listed are familiar, the documents do reveal some gems including possible signs of the long-rumored new liquid-cooled Harley-Davidson engine. The first and least surprising reveal is the disappearance of the 1584cc Twin Cam 96 engine.

More Miles From Dunlop’s 2nd-Gen American Elite Tires

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Dunlop says its second-generation of American Elite tires provide increased mileage, and come in a variety of new styles. Designed with Dunlop’s MT Multi-Tread technology, with a long-wearing center compound and grippier compounds on each edge, the new American Elite’s should pique the interest of Harley FL owners. The second-gen series of American Elites are also now available with narrow white bar sidewalls and wide white walls along with the original black sidewall, providing FL owners more choices.  For riders of Harley-Davidson FL Touring bikes, model year 2009 and later, the new second-generation American Elite tires with Multi-Tread are available in 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 black sidewall, 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 narrow white sidewall, 130/90B16 and 180/65B16 wide white sidewall, with the 130/70B18 front tire available for select CVO bikes. For recent-model Softail owners, including models such as the Fat Boy, the MH90-21, 140/75R17 and 200/50R17 sizes of American Elite are also available.
