2004 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200 Custom, Sportster XL 1200 Custom - Over the years, the motorcycles of the Sportster family have become legendary. This one is for those wanting more of that legend. The all-new 1200 Custom. It's a unique blend of raw power and XL style, taken full-bore. You'll immediately notice the tank. It's a bigger, low-profile 4.5-gallon design that boosts the custom look and holds more juice so you stop less. Notice the bigger fuel cap, as well as the side profile that pays homage to classic Sportster tanks. The bike is lower, thanks to a new seat and frame. We widened the rear tire. There's a new swept-back handlebar and riser that looks and feels sweet. Then we went big with power, with a redesigned Evolution engine. We gave it performance cams and high-compression, high-flow cylinder heads. The result is sizable gains in torque and horsepower. So much, we had to push the redline up to 6000 RPM. Harley-Davidson World Ride Scheduled for June 22–23

Participating in an activity that is also taking place at the same time all over the world adds a special meaning to the event. Begun in 2008 by the Harley Owners Group as Million Mile Monday and renamed and enlarged in 2012 toHarley-Davidson World Ride, this event simply asks all “friends of Milwaukee” to get on their hogs and ride on June 22–23.

Opening Jan. 17, the Living Lost Photographs by Josh Kurpius art exhibit includes 30 photographs taken during a series of road trips Kurpius took with friends, all riding vintage Harleys.
Harley’s Behind the Scenes at The Art of Rebellion
Wed, 06 May 2009On February 7th, 2009, at the Robert Berman Gallery in Santa Monica’s Bergamot Station Arts Center, Harley-Davidson gathered 11 of today’s most relevant and exciting artists to present their take on the theme of rebellion. Because the event was so popular, The Art of Rebellion one-night only event quickly became a month long showing. Artwork was for sale and the proceeds were donated to Art Matters, a foundation that assists socially and aesthetically groundbreaking artists.
