1997 Harley Davidson sportster 1200 cc military/army
This is my Harley and I hate to sell it but I just don't enjoy riding like I used to. It runs great and has a unique look that turns heads everywhere I go. Sorry about the pictures, the bike was still wet when I took them and it makes it look like some parts are faded or peeling, they are not its just water from still being wet. The 1200 cc engine has lots of power to get up and go. Of course t wouldn't be a Harley if it didn't have an oil leak, I do have the clutch cover gasket needed to fix the leak but just have not taken the time to fix it. The speedo quit working last fall so I just unplugged it and took it off it had a little under 13k miles at that point. Since I took the speedo off I have only filled the tank 2 or 3 times which equals very little riding. I used to enjoy riding and did so almost daily but because of recent events in my life the desire is just gone, my loss is your gain! Please ask any questions before you bid.
If you want a Harley and you want people to hear its a Harley then this is the bike you want. It has a big 1200 cc engine, straight pipes and is LOUD! It has the "classic deep Harley rumble". Not loud for the rider because the sound is shooting out behind you but others will defiantly hear you going!
I will put this bike in a crate and ship it to you if you would like, shipping is your cost obviously. keep in mind in order to ship it I will have to drain all fluids. just so you don't try to start it with no oil in it.

Harley-Davidson Donated $4.5 Million to Various Causes in 2012
Fri, 15 Feb 2013Harley-Davidson donated more than $4.5 million to support various charitable groups in 2012. The donations, which include both grants and merchandise, went to several organizations, including those around Harley-Davidson‘s bases in Milwaukee, Wis., York, Pa., and Kansas City, Mo., but also to groups across the nation. The Milwaukee chapter of Habitat for Humanity received a $200,000 grant for its Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, helping fund housing projects in the Washington Park community.
