Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Up for auction is a 1974 Harley Davidson Sportster rolling chassis. I use that term loosely, as I have taken it completely apart, as you will see in the picture. I bought this in hopes of rebuilding it, but just don't have the time, and have too many projects going on. I will try to list all that is here. It is already converted to a rigid tail, and the frame is perfect. It has a nice springer seat. It has both front and rear fenders, forks and triple trees. Oil tank, both rims and the tires will be ready to roll when its built. They both have good tread and no rot that I can see. It has the fat tank, not the peanut tank. Everything will need paint, its old and has some chips in it, but the metal is good. It has the front caliper and the forward controls, although they will need to be replaced. It has rear brake lever. NO handlebars, as I have already sold them. It has the headlight, and a custom Iron cross LED taillight with license plate bracket. There is NO engine, so let your imagination run wild. NO RESERVE!!!!! I have clean title in hand. I will answer any questions that I can. Please email for any questions. Thanks for looking!!! Buyer responsible for shipping or pickup.

Harley-Davidson Racers Visiting Troops In Middle East

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

A large number of military personnel are also motorcyclists, with many dreaming of the day they can hop back on their steeds after deployment. Harley-Davidson understands this, and in cooperation with Army Special Forces Association Chapter 64, Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines riders Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines are joining Summit Racing Equipment and Armed Forces Entertainment November 18-22 for Operation Appreciation, an annual visit to American troops stationed overseas. After three years of visiting American military personnel based in Europe, Operation Appreciation will travel to the Middle East to visit troops in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

What am I gonna do with a gun rack?

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

Living in Shoreditch I come across a unique variety of motorcycles on the road; from XS650s, to classic Lambrettas and one completely brown jelly-mould CBR600. My favourite of the regular bikes I see is this Harley-Davidson badged Armstrong MT500. In my head I like to think that the owner operates as an urban vigilante, realistically whoever rides this ex-Army bike is probably an artist and instead of a weapon in the gun holder it's probably art equipment.

Harley-Davidson Reveals “Twin-Cooled” Engine with Precision Liquid Cooling

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

As we gleaned from recently revealed CARB documents, Harley-Davidson has introduced two new liquid cooled engines. The new engines use a combination of air-cooling and precision liquid cooling, similar to what BMW did with its 2013 R1200GS. One version of the engine, dubbed the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will be used on the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and the Tri-Glide Ultra trike while the CVO Limited will use a 110ci engine known as the Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110.
