Heres what I know...

I'm NOT a Harley mechanic and am not trying to rip anyone off here...  I'm going to be honest and tell you everything I know about this bike.  If you are going to buy this bike then I hope you either know how or know someone that works on them.  She's over 40 years old and so its a given it will need some tlc..  Overall it seems like a very solid bike and really stands out from most of the classic sportsters I have seen..

I aquired this bike in trade.  It has been sitting in a garage for over 10 years (last time on the road was 2002).  The woman that owned it said it ran great when she put it away.  She bought a new bike (evo) and has been riding that ever since.  She said the kick only got to be a bit much for her.  I put a battery some gas and oil in it and kicked it over a few times and it started right up.  The motor sounds good..  It will need a good old tune up...  adjust the valves, points, carb etc...   I haven't had it on the road because the clutch cable is very hard and won't disengage ( either needs a new cable or adjusting).  The paint is chipping in areas (see pics).  Chrome is decent and will polish up good with a little elbow grease (not the cheap chrome that flakes off).

Restore or ride as is... Your call!  I don't have the title because in my state they don't require one...  BILL OF SALE ONLY...  bike will be sold in AS IS condition...  I can't gaurantee anything on it...  its a vintage harley and things rattle loose and brake all the time.  If you are unaware of this then please do yourself a favor and buy a new bike!  You (buyer) will be responsable for coordinating shipping and any charges with it.  If you have any questions please ask before making a bid or an offer.  Thanks for checking out my auction!

A Man of LOVE

Fri, 24 Oct 2008

I had a unique opportunity this week to sit down with Oliver Shokouh, the founder of the Love Ride, only days before the 25th anniversary of the purportedly largest one-day rally in the world, kicks-off this coming Sunday, October 26. First and foremost I’m very grateful for Oliver to set aside over half an hour of his precious time so close to the event. Not only does he head-up this massive event, he’s also busy running the very busy and successful Harley-Davidson/Buell of Glendale (California).

Legends Ride Stops Sturgis Traffic

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

This is a small sample of the participants in Monday’s annual Legends Ride from Deadwood to Sturgis. Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.
