Harley-Davidson Softail description
What do you do when you decide to take $11,500 of your money and buy a bike? You study all the options and then set some priorities. Sort of like a David Letterman top ten list of why you should buy this bike:
1. You look to the #1 Brand name in motorcycles - Harley-Davidson. Then you look to one of their best sellers in the cruising class, the FLSTCI Heritage Softail Classic.
2. You look for a relatively late model (2006) with very low mileage (22,800) at a great price ($11,500).
3. You look for one with a real comfortable seat. It is low and you can easily keep both feet on the ground and have better control at stops.
4. You look for one that runs very smooth and very strong. Stage 1 Upgrade to include free breathing air cleaner & exhaust.
5. You look for one that has some expensive extra features added that came out of the sellers pocket and not yours. This bike comes with just about everything you will need. Many upgrades like quick release windshield, H-D engine guard with H-D footpegs, Cruiser Kaddy for your drinks, Saggy Bags treatment, and great Harley sound with Vance & Hines pipes.
6. You look to buy from a trusted and honest seller. 553 Positive out of 553 (100%) over the past 13 years.
7. You look for the best color (Glacier White Pearl) which looks great and not on every corner. It has some blue in it in the bright sunlight.
8. You look for a bike that has been serviced well. All work has been done on time and at the dealership. Good Tires and battery. Owner's Manual and service records stay with bike. Full set of stock pipes are yours if you want them.
9. You look for a bike that is in excellent condition that has been babied it's whole life. Never down and always garaged. Not a scratch, dent, or blemish.
10. You look for a bike that is different from all the others. Clean lines and you can always add what you want to make it your "own". The 4 things I look for in a bike are (1) Does it sound really good, (2) Does it run real strong, (3) Is it in excellent condition, and (4) Does it run very smooth with no back-fire or jerks or slack in the throttle. This bike has all four.
WELL, YOU HAVE FOUND IT!
This Heritage rides extremely well. Strong and smooth.
I have the clear Title and since I am a private seller, I won't be charging you any sales tax.
Any questions, please email me or call 404/822-442two. I hope you can come and see this bike in person. You won't be disappointed.

Everyone loves a clean-looking bike. The Heritage Softail® is a fine example. A motorcycle gleaming with simplicity. With a machine this pure, it's only fitting we start with the heart and soul. Get a good look at the silver powder-coated Twin Cam 88B™ engine. It's rigid-mounted and counterbalanced. Next feast your eyes on the hardtail styling. Any paint color you choose will look great with the machete tank graphics. A horseshoe oil tank and Laced wheels complete the no-nonsense look. The price is stripped-down, too -- it's the most affordable FL model. There's even a detachable passenger pillion. Sometimes the less you see on a bike, the more there is to admire.
The reintroduced FLSTI Heritage Softail offers the elemental styling traits of the Softail platform - hardtail styling and a rigid-mounted engine - with the classic Harley-Davidson FL "large" front end and wrap-around FL rear fender. The Heritage Softail comes equipped with laced steel wheels, a silver powder-coated engine with polished covers, and floorboards with a heel-and-toe shifter. A new seat design includes a quick-release passenger pillion that can be removed in seconds, leaving the rear fender uncovered behind a solo seat. A four-bolt rear-fender support attachment design makes it easy to add optional saddlebags to the Heritage Softail, and maintains a clean look when the bags are removed. Offered in four different solid colors, the Heritage Softail features a distinctive new broad- stripe tank graphic. Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced wheels are available as a factory-installed option. A satisfying motorcycle in its own right, the Heritage Softail also offers itself as a starting point for a rider planning extensive customization with Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season
Fri, 12 Apr 2013AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
