Harley-Davidson Softail description

This is a 1998 Harley Softail with a 250 tire on the back. I bought this bike brand new in 1998 when there was a year waiting list. The bike has 20000 original miles, fat tire and rims were put on at 4000 miles .I've  put 16000 on it with the fat tire without any issues at all, seat height is 23 inches from the ground, bike rides and handles great. The motor was pumped up about 5000 miles ago with 10:1 kb pistons, crane cam, single fire ignition, and ss carb.It has been dynoed at 96 hp, tires are new with less then a 1000 miles on them.original color is black and this is a #s matching bike with full documentation from the day it left the showroom floor still has all of its original frame stickers on the down tube, very clean always maintained and never beat on. The only reason i am selling it is because i don't get to ride it much anymore. The bike has been in a climate controlled garage all of its life. all stock Harley parts fit this bike from exhaust ,brakes, seats, cables etc.It has a wide-glide front end ,i do have the front fender i took it off for a different look, was gonna powder coat the rims black and put a set of black apehangers on it for the bobber look, i just don't have the time for it any more, its ready, oil is changed jump on and go. i have the right to end early listing for sale locally buyer responsible for shipping.500.00 nonrefundable deposit due at the end of auction.balance payed in full within 24 hours through Paypal or money order. Payment must clear before bike leaves. the rear fender has some scratches on it. it is being repainted  and the new rear led turn signals will be mounted before picked up. Thanks and good luck!!! chrome and wheels fogged up when i pulled it of the air conditioned garage to take the pics they shine up nice

Harley-Davidson Reveals “Twin-Cooled” Engine with Precision Liquid Cooling

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

As we gleaned from recently revealed CARB documents, Harley-Davidson has introduced two new liquid cooled engines. The new engines use a combination of air-cooling and precision liquid cooling, similar to what BMW did with its 2013 R1200GS. One version of the engine, dubbed the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will be used on the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and the Tri-Glide Ultra trike while the CVO Limited will use a 110ci engine known as the Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110.
