Harley-Davidson Softail description

I got off the Brand for a few bikes, picked up an American Iron Horse Slammer and then went to a Rigid Custom out of Indiana.  Always said if I got back on the Brand I would get an '09 CVO Soft Tail Springer FXSTSSE3 in this color combo. [Black, of course.]  It was built in blue and also in yellow... really?  Yellow?  There are about a dozen for sale right now all over the US, with the lowest asking price 23K and some fool dealer asking 27K for one with 19,000 miles.  Mine is THE color combo for this rare and arguably, one of the nicest models Milwaukee has ever made.  So why sell it?  Well I just turned 65 and retired and plainly speaking, it's just time.

Variations from pure stock condition include Vance & Hines Slash cut exhaust [baffles included and installed], Custom Chrome lockable license plate with document storage that holds your important papers like registration and insurance info in a weatherproof case, custom made passenger pad extender for carrying luggage w/out scratching the rear fender paint, and HD custom speedo/tach combo with programmable color LED display.  All other aspects of this bike are as from the Factory itself.  The upper and lower chrome belt guards have been removed 'cause the rear wheel looks so damn good w/out them, but they go with the bike.  [The lockable license plate holder and document safe has a few scratches on it where the local H-D dealer forgot to tighten the bolts when he installed it.]

The bike is a real head-turner and draws attention wherever it gets parked.  The ground steel with clear coat is outstanding and unique.  The motor is a Screamin' Eagle 110 c.i. barely broken in at less than 4,000 miles.  The rotors are free floating.  Also included is the factory Screamin' Eagle tuning module [P/N 545671]  This model has H-D's auto reset alarm and I have two 'fobs' and key sets that allow only the Owner to start the bike and disarm the alarm.  The successful bidder will also get the color matching bungee straps I found AND the H-D Custom CVO bike cover [pic on request] AND the set of front and rear new brake pads.

This is your opportunity to own one of the nicest bikes to ever roll out of H-D's line up.  I priced the bike with the competition in mind.  This CVO FXSTSSE3 is the best of the best of all of the models for sale I found on the 'net, based on the mileage, condition and price.  Bid now and bid often to own this great bike.

Harley-Davidson Helps Beat Winter Blues

Mon, 02 Feb 2009

Feeling trapped within the crippling grasp of winter? The Harley-Davidson Museum is helping to warm things up with Winter Chillabration, running now until the end of February. One of the many highlights is the giant XR1200 Harley-Davidson Sportster that has been hand-carved from ice and snow by the USA Snow Sculpting Team, on the corner of 5th and Canal Streets.
