2012 Harley-Davidson Softail DELUXE. Custom built prior to purchase by local dealer with all modifications warranted. Ride Wright wheels, 21 front, 16 rear, with matching rotors and pulley. Burly brand 14 apes with 1.5 risers. Shotgun air shocks. Woods 777 cam, air kit, ported heads, Samson true dual exhaust, big city thunder baffles. Other extras...chrome front end, chrome hand controls, grips, braided cables, footpegs, dash cover, visor bezels, laydown license plate bracket, highway bar/pegs, LePera bare bones seat with passenger pillion. Also have LePera 2-up touring seat and HD sissy bar/backrest. Many other chrome parts and covers not mentioned. All original stock parts have been stored and will go with the bike. Build sheet from local Harley dealer and dyno chart available upon request. This bike was purchased new a year ago and has been meticulously maintained and garaged. Harley-Davidson Reveals “Twin-Cooled” Engine with Precision Liquid Cooling
Mon, 19 Aug 2013As we gleaned from recently revealed CARB documents, Harley-Davidson has introduced two new liquid cooled engines. The new engines use a combination of air-cooling and precision liquid cooling, similar to what BMW did with its 2013 R1200GS. One version of the engine, dubbed the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will be used on the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and the Tri-Glide Ultra trike while the CVO Limited will use a 110ci engine known as the Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110.
Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed
Thu, 04 Aug 2011The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
Zero Enters South American Market
Wed, 28 Sep 2011Zero Motorcycles has signed a distribution deal with the Brazilian dealer network Grupo Izzo, bringing its electric motorcycles to first Brazil, and soon across South America. Brazil is one of the world’s fastest growing markets for motorcycles, a market Zero hopes to tap with its new distribution deal. Grupo Izzo is based mainly in Brazil with 11 locations, but has plans to expand into other South American countries.
