Harley-Davidson Softail description

This bike is like new, looks and runs great, loaded with chrome.  I always get comments on the appearance of the bike whenever I ride.   I purchased the bike in June 2012 with 1194 miles on it from McDermott's Harley-Davidson in Fort Ann, New York. I have all the maintenance records for the bike since I have owned it. The color is 024 Black with pinstripe, and has an abundance of gleaming chrome.

Blue Book value of the bike is close to $16,000.  I am selling the bike because I don't ride often enough to make it worthwhile to own it.  It needs a new home where it will be ridden and appreciated.

The bike has never been dropped and I have never ridden over 65 mph on it.  I added the saddlebags, the engine guard, the small front bag over the handlebars.

Engine is Twin Cam 96B, 96 cubic inches (1584 cc).
Bike weighs 695 lb.
Transmission is 6 speed
Fuel Injected

Buyer must arrange for pick up of the bike in Oak Ridge, North Carolina (near Greensboro and Winston-Salem).  I do have a loan on the bike, so there will be an approximate 10 day waiting period for me to get the title.  I will provide a Bill of Sale once payment clears, so you can get temporary plates.

Of course funds must be cleared before the bike is picked up by a buyer/shipper or other arrangements made .

Please call Tom at 336-601-1692 if interested or inquire through eBay's message system.  Cash or verified Cashier's Check only.

More Miles From Dunlop’s 2nd-Gen American Elite Tires

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Dunlop says its second-generation of American Elite tires provide increased mileage, and come in a variety of new styles. Designed with Dunlop’s MT Multi-Tread technology, with a long-wearing center compound and grippier compounds on each edge, the new American Elite’s should pique the interest of Harley FL owners. The second-gen series of American Elites are also now available with narrow white bar sidewalls and wide white walls along with the original black sidewall, providing FL owners more choices.  For riders of Harley-Davidson FL Touring bikes, model year 2009 and later, the new second-generation American Elite tires with Multi-Tread are available in 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 black sidewall, 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 narrow white sidewall, 130/90B16 and 180/65B16 wide white sidewall, with the 130/70B18 front tire available for select CVO bikes. For recent-model Softail owners, including models such as the Fat Boy, the MH90-21, 140/75R17 and 200/50R17 sizes of American Elite are also available.

Laconia Harley-Davidson and New Hampshire Motor Speedway to Raise $76K for Boys & Girls Clubs in World Record Attempt

Thu, 23 May 2013

Laconia Harley-Davidson and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) have teamed up to make the 90th Anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week even more historic through an effort to raise over $76,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of New Hampshire and set a new Guinness Worlds Record. Laconia Motorcycle Week attendees and New Hampshire residents will play a key role in this endeavor by purchasing tickets for a Community Appreciation Parade at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on the final Saturday of Bike Week, June 15th. Participants will have the unique opportunity to ride around the New Hampshire Motor Speedway track, continue on a police escorted, scenic 32-mile ride around the Lakes Region, set a new Guinness World Record and most importantly, raise significant funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of New Hampshire.
