Harley-Davidson Softail description
I'm selling my 2011 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe FLSTN in Vivid Black. The last year the 96ci engine was produced. It has 10,626 miles as of posting but I'll ride it until I sell it. Bike runs great and overall is in pretty much show room condition. Never dropped. The only issues are a piece of chromed plastic trim that broke off the rear bumper while I was washing it and the battery is a little weak. If it's cold out, I've got to put it on a charger or it won't start in the morning. That's mostly because I hardly get time to ride anymore. I live two miles from work so that's not far enough for the alternator to charge it. I'm selling it because I don't get to ride often, and when I do, I'm in pain. I'm getting old and have to face the fact that I need a more comfortable bike like a touring bike. it's been dealer serviced it's whole life. Full service records on hand.

Wed, 07 Jan 2009Harley-Davidson has been building motorcycles for a long time. Over 105 years in fact, according to the summer celebration I attended in Milwaukee last summer. Who could have guessed over a century ago that the company would be alive and thriving today?
Harley-Davidson and an American Hero
Fri, 07 Dec 2012As motorcyclists, we’re drawn to the freedom two wheels represent; just man, machine and the open road. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
