Harley-Davidson Softail tech info
Harley-Davidson Softail description
For sale is my Harley Rocker C. I am the second owner, I bought it in March of this year, but I have to start saving for a house. It looks like a rigid chopper, but it is actually a softail. This the "c" model, which means that it has all the chrome covers and housings. It has the extended foot controls, but comes with the originals as well. It is a major head-turner, and a blast to ride. It has the following upgrades: -Tuned with a Vance and Hines fuelpak -Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather Intake -Martin Brothers Daisycutter pipes -Aftermarket amber LED running lights -Aftermarket Seat (forget the manufacturer) but it rides much lower/nicer than stock -Aftermarket Passenger seat -Smoked Front Turn-signals (not pictured) The battery was just replaced in March 2016. It has only had Harley synthetic oil, and 93 or better octane gas. This bike has been kept in a garage its whole life, and has been babied. I have the original seat (with the fold-out passenger seat) and will include the Harley Maintenance Guide with it. I'll also include a Harbour Freight Motorcycle jack, a battery tender, and a cover. |

Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada
Mon, 30 Apr 2012A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.
Fri, 23 Aug 2013With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.
Harley-Davidson Reveals “Twin-Cooled” Engine with Precision Liquid Cooling
Mon, 19 Aug 2013As we gleaned from recently revealed CARB documents, Harley-Davidson has introduced two new liquid cooled engines. The new engines use a combination of air-cooling and precision liquid cooling, similar to what BMW did with its 2013 R1200GS. One version of the engine, dubbed the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will be used on the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and the Tri-Glide Ultra trike while the CVO Limited will use a 110ci engine known as the Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110.
