Harley-Davidson Softail tech info

Harley-Davidson Softail description
This 2008 Heritage Softail is a super nice bike that is loaded with chrome. The bike has 40,227 miles on it and runs great. The rear tire is pretty well used, so a new one would be recommended before hitting the open road. Equipped with Vance and Hines big shot exhaust, stage 1 air cleaner, and a tuner makes this bike really get up and go. The bars have been raised to 16" ape hangers with braided cables and chrome covers on the housings. Also on the bike is the factory profile spoke wheel option. The chrome rim is smooth and really jumps out on in the sun. This bike is for sale by an Illinois dealer. The final auction price will be the out the door price, unless you are an Illinois resident or resident of a state that requires Illinois to collect sales tax. If you are unsure, please ask and we will be glad to help you out. This is a nice bike that will make any rider a great bike! Happy bidding!

A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.
Fri, 23 Aug 2013With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.

The program provides the opportunity for Sturgis Brown High School students to learn from leading motorcycle industry professionals in order to create a one-of-a-kind custom motorcycle from a stock Harley-Davidson.
Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed
Thu, 04 Aug 2011The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
