Harley-Davidson Softail description

this is a custom, built from the ground up harley softail. it has 2 3 gallon tanks, 5 speed trans with an evo engine with less than 1000 miles on it. the frame is a 99 harley softail and was titled in 2005 when completed. it has an electric start, and has a carburetor not fuel injected. the speedometer is off because the original speedometer that was on the bike didnt work properly for around 300 miles. so it was changed and that is why the mileage is different from the listing. but the bike has less than 1000 mile on it. the only thing i dont have hooked up is the kill switch and the turn signals. it rides great and is light and very easy to control. this bike was gone through by certified harley mechanics and is in top shape. i was riding this bike without issue until june when my back couldnt hack it anymore. if i were healthy i wouldnt hesitate to go on a cross country run with it. i have over 12k in the bike but i know i wont get that.selling because my back has gotten bad and i can only ride air ride bikes now. i have to sell 2 of my bikes because of this issue. i hope you enjoy this bike. ask questions before bidding or buying. there are no guaranties, warranties or refunds. there will be no returns due to the size of the item. shipping to be arranged by the buyer. good luck and God bless

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Icons Model May Be the Low Rider El Diablo

Tue, 22 Feb 2022

The devil is in the details Earlier this year, Harley-Davidson revealed a new Low Rider ST featuring a FXRT-inspired fairing. Initial reaction to the Low Rider ST was very positive, with Jochen Zeitz, Harley-Davidson chief executive officer, claiming in Harley-Davidson’s Q4 earnings call “demand was so high for this bike that we sold out our first consumer allocation in 10 minutes.” While the retro fairing might not appeal to everyone, one other critique about the FXLRST (and a few other bikes in the 2022 lineup) is the rather drab selection of colors: Vivid Black and Gunship Gray. If you’re looking for a more vibrant Low Rider ST, you may want to wait a bit longer, as Harley-Davidson will be introducing a new variant to be called the “Low Rider El Diablo.” The name appears in vehicle emissions certification from the U.S.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
