Harley-Davidson Softail description

Selling a nice Softail for a dear friend who is very sick and will no longer be riding. The bike is a Softail standard that has only 9,208 original miles!  My friend is the original owner and the bike was purchased at New York Harley by his wife as a surprise for him after completing many tours at the world trade center. I have done all the maintenance on it since it was new. I have all the original paperwork, bill of sale, owners manual, etc.. in their original folder.  As you can see the inspection was last done in 2013 and the bike was only ridden about 100 miles since it was inspected. The bike has new brakes, all the fluids were replaced, and the carb was rebuilt and correctly jetted for the new Vance and Hines pipes that were installed. Their is also a set of saddlebags also that are included, a tool bag on the handlebars, rear floorboards, and a very nice POW-MIA derby cover. The back rest and luggage rack were installed at the dealer. In fairness and to disclose all, the only defects I can find is a quarter size dent in the gas tank and a super small tear on the seat. Take a close look at the pictures. The bike runs, sounds, and rides great! It doesn't need anything, It is ready to enjoy! The price and reserve are set very fair in my opinion. Please don't ask what the reserve is  as I will not entertain that! It is a nice bike at a fair price, bid to win and Good Luck!

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle. However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.
