2001 Harley-Davidson Custom Softail, 2001 Harley Davidson Special Construction (SPCN) Custom Softail. Softail frame with 1850cc S&S Evolution Engine and Super G Carb. Frame was registered in 2001. Has a Custom Fatty rear end that holds a 230 Avon Fat tire with plenty of tread left. Illusion front forks with embedded turn signals. Illusion front and rear brakes. New key ignition console and new electrical wiring and New plugs. New paint job: (Camaro Inferno orange).. Bike looks more orange than red as shown in images. Kuryakyn grips with throttle whacker. Front and rear tire: Avon's with plenty of tread left. Lepera Solo seat: No rips. S&S Supper stock 1850cc (113 CI) Evolution engine with Super G carb. Illusion Forward shifter/ brake controls. Custom Cat Eye side mount rear brake light. Custom 14" Chopper bar (bolted on, can be easily removed). Custom old school spoked chrome wheels. Custom exhaust: very loud, sounds like a V8. New Interstate battery with easy charge connector (also comes with Battery Tender). Includes XL motorcycle cover with built in security, touch up paint. Miles: 2062 ; Note: Tripometer doesnt work, S&S 336 Air Cleaner Backplate mount (PART# 17-0380 ) has crack in mounting bracket but still mounts air cleaner with no problems. Designed with Dunlop’s MT Multi-Tread technology, with a long-wearing center compound and grippier compounds on each edge, the new American Elite’s should pique the interest of Harley FL owners. The second-gen series of American Elites are also now available with narrow white bar sidewalls and wide white walls along with the original black sidewall, providing FL owners more choices. For riders of Harley-Davidson FL Touring bikes, model year 2009 and later, the new second-generation American Elite tires with Multi-Tread are available in 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 black sidewall, 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 narrow white sidewall, 130/90B16 and 180/65B16 wide white sidewall, with the 130/70B18 front tire available for select CVO bikes. As we predicted, a similar document certifying Harley-Davidson’s 2023 touring models has now been released in Australia, confirming the models returning, as well as the Anniversary Edition Touring models, plus one possible addition to Harley’s Icon collection. 120th Anniversary Harley-Davidson Softail Models Leaked Returning for 2023, at least for the Australian market, are the Road Glide Special, Road Glide ST, Street Glide Special, Street Glide ST, Road King Special, and Ultra Limited.
Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
