I turned it in to a softail custom with lots of chrome and new parts including a new 1450.00 cc (88.48 cubic inches) Harley Davidson Engine and 5 gear transmission, POWER COMMANDER III, new wiring harness since this engine is EFI and factory anti-theft alarm with key fobs... drag bars, forward controls... new tank with EFI fuel pump... new rear suspension with Arlen Ness adjustable lowering bolts, Arlen Ness cold air filter and back plate... New swing arm, new tires, new rear spoke wheel to match the softail custom look... Harley tank badges not stickers... kuryakin: mirrors, digital fuel and battery gauges, turn signals, and vented gas cap... Vance and Hines short shots exhaust, new rear brakes, chrome oil tank... 2012-2013 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special Recalled for Loose License Plate Bracket
Thu, 25 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall on all Night Rod Special models from 2012 and some from 2013 because of a potentially loose license plate bracket. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mounting screws connecting the VRSDCDX‘s license plate bracket to the tail may loosen, potentially causing the plate to rub against the rear tire. This may cause the plate bracket to rotate as well as damage rear brake lines.
Harley Skateboard Trick – Awesome Motorcycle Jump
Tue, 28 Apr 2009Everything needs to be jumped over with a skateboard at some point in human history. People, benches, cars, cats, senior citizens, conclusions, ships, …. I’m getting a little metaphorical here… Why not motorcycles? Let’s jump some motorcycles on a skateboard and let’s make them Harley-Davidson motorcycles to boot. Harley is on fire with releasing “viral video” to promote their Dark Custom line and have now released this interesting video of a “modded” skateboard with fireworks strapped to it flying over some bikes. Personally, I think it looks like the guy is hanging from a wire when he crosses over those bikes.
Music and Motorcycles Exhibit
Wed, 04 Mar 2009The four-day “Music and Motorcycles” exhibit, presented by the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHOF), will be on public display at the Lighthouse Harley-Davidson dealership in Huntington Station, NY. The exhibit will feature memorabilia and motorcycles from many inductees from the LIMHOF including, Joan Jett, Billy Joel, Dee Snider, The Ramones, Darryl McDaniel of Run DMC and more. Billy Joel will be supplying several custom bikes, Twisted Sister have agreed to loan one of their motorcycles and a gas tank signed by Jett, Snider, Peter Tork of The Monkees, Gary U.S.
