Harley-Davidson Softail description

This Deuce is in exceptional condition. Last year I replaced the clutch and brake cables with new silver braided cables. As you can see from the pictures there is a great deal of chrome added to this bike, (approximately $6,000).  as well as custom pipes, upgraded carburator, custom wheels, two seats (single and double), I also purchased a quick release windshield last year in excellent condition, as well as the original stock pipes.  The Mikuni carb adds approximately 10-15 hp ; You can really feel it pull from the start. I have regularly maintained this bike and it is runs as good as it looks!

I purchased this carbureted version because of its pure gorgeous look, and I appreciate a carb on a bike. Compare this with almost any other out there.

The wheels have some flaking of the chrome on them but it is not enough to detract from their awesome look. Also there is a small scrape at the edge of the rear fender; I caught it on another bike in my garage.

Please let me now if you have any questions.

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

This is a small sample of the participants in Monday’s annual Legends Ride from Deadwood to Sturgis. Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
