Harley-Davidson Softail description

 2000 Harley Davidson FLSTC

29,334 Miles

This is number 50 of 100 made. The paint is Harley Davidson Black and Plum.

It has a Screamin Eagle II Exhaust system.

The Harley shop has done all the Carb modifications, so it runs and sounds like a Harley.

Tires and Brakes are good.

I can list the add on's, but you can see them for yourself in the pictures.

The saddle bags are faded as you can see, and need to be re-died.

There is a small chip on the front fender.

There is a small chip by the ignition switch.

The seats are good, but there was a repair done on each seat to patch a small tear. You can see the spot in the pictures.

The bike runs good and rides good.

There are NO leaks anywhere.

The only problem I have ever had with this bike is the ignition switch. On a 1400 mile ride the switch lost power once. I turned the switch off and then back on, and it solved the problem. The contact part of the ignition switch may need to be replaced. I searched through the wiring system and did not find anything loose or out of place.

The bike is due a service, so the buyer will need to get that done. It is a good idea to do that anyway when you buy anything used.

I am selling my bike because I do not ride much anymore, I never seem to have the time.  I hate seeing it just sit in the garage. I ride it around town every few weeks and wash it, just to keep it up.

This is a buyer pickup. Sold as is where is.

Harley has been going through some difficult times this year, posting losses for the first nine months of 2008.

Harley’s Ed Krawiec is 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Champ

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec is the 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion. Krawiec clinched the title with a second-round win at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway that eliminated Lucas Oil Buell rider Hector Arana Jr., the only rider in the field with a chance to overtake Krawiec for the championship. Krawiec advanced to the final round and lost to his Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines teammate Andrew Hines, who finished the season third in points. More from Harley-Davidson on Krawiec’s win: “I think this is really a statement on the season, to end it with an all-Harley final and the championship, and with Willie G.

Harley Art

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...
