Selling my 1999 Harley Davidson Heritage Springer Softail FLSTS This bike is absolutely beautiful and has very classic, timeless styling. There are roughly 37000 miles on the bike, but you'd never be able to tell - it is extremely clean. This bike is everything that it should be and performs as it should. I had the bike detailed last month and it came out amazingly. The two tone blue and silver paint is very nice and complement each other very well. The chrome is in great shape and so is the leather. The engine starts right up and the bike shifts well. The clutch feels great and the tires and brakes are in great shape. The only issue I see is that the headlight rivets are a little lose and that it vibrates while riding down the road - could possibly be fixed with a small shim, or you can find a replacement pretty easily. I have a clean CT title in hand and the bike is currently registered and insured in my name. Please take a look at the pictures, they look great and still don't do the bike justice. I encourage anyone local to come see the bike so that you can really appreciate what it is. This was the last of the EVO powered bikes and many say that the 1997-1999 model years are the best example of the Heritage Springer line. Stolen Harley-Davidson Returned 17 Years Later [video]

Fri, 09 Mar 2012The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.
