Harley-Davidson Softail description

1998 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail. This is a low mileage original bike of only 19,300 miles. This bike has had a lot of money put in it through the years but dome very tastefully with all Harley parts and without really changing the originality of it. Nothing has been changed performance wise and engine has never been into and is in great shape Only thing changed performance wise that I see is the exhaust, it even still has the original CV carb and cam.  Please do not hit the buy it now or place an offer unless you have money in hand and ready to transfer and can arrange shipping and or pick it up in person. Thanks in advance. This is a great chance to get a great model and year evolution Heritage. These things run forever and this one has hardly been broken in. This is a two owner bike and neither owner really rode it much. I am selling this for much less than you typically see a 1998 FLSTC listed and sold for especially with this sort of mileage. Great time to get a good bike at a great deal.
As mentioned really stock bike but has had many tasteful options and will try to mention a few. Harley Davidson Nostalgia series grips, floorboards, passenger pegs, head bolt covers, brake pedal cover, shifter pegs. Also has the "Live to Ride"-"Ride To Live" series air cleaner cover, derby cover, inspection cover, gas cap covers, points cover. Harley Davidson upper & lower chain guards, frame covers, studded leather dash cover with pouch,Motor Co. chrome petcock cover, factory sissy bar, also has a nice dual exhaust system on it. Not sure the brand but has a really good sound to it.
Bike is mechanically in great condition and really just has not been ridden much at all. Engine is in great shape as you would expect a low mileage evolution to be and not leaking at all from base gaskets, head gaskets or rocker gaskets, primary not leaking at all and engine sounds just as it should super smooth as well as the transmission shifts just as it should nice and smooth. Only thing I noticed at all that the bike needs is front brake pads they need to be changed out before putting any miles on it. Rear are good to go and tires are good to go. Has wide white wall tires added front and back and the rear looks to hardly have any miles on it.
Cosmetically bike is also good paint in really good shape only dent I see at all is a very tiny pencil tip dent on the top of the front fender that I show a close up of, the chrome I would say average a few of the pieces are showing pitting and oxidation, worst of which is the cam cover(they make a $50 cover that I would pop on) and the front of the oil tank(the area that is not seen and I show a close up for you and use the zoom feature) the sides of the oil tank are in better shape and really not that noticeable. Primary cover in excellent condition, lights, nacelle, also in great shape. I am selling this bike at a great price for what it is. Great time to get a great bike for cheaper than you usually see them especially with this type of mileage.
Please view all of the photos for the exact condition and use the zoom feature as they are part of the description.
I have listed a lot of bikes and have a lot of happy customers and this bike is sure to make another one so bid with confidence. I included a bunch of pictures and all angles so please examine them all for the exact cosmetic condition and options added if you have a question concerning it do not hesitate to send me an email.
International bidders are just fine and sell overseas regularly just please arrange your own shipping and do it in advance or at least figure it out if you do not ship regularly. That goes for buyers in the state as well. The shipping is 100% on the winning bidder. I may can help with the ground transportation depending on where you live and can get great rates to the west coast. I bank with Wells Fargo and Bank Of America for easy payment. Which is due in 5 days from the end of the auction and my modest $200 deposit please pay that within 24 hours of the auctions end. Good luck on the auction and please be serious if you place a bid and only bid if you have money in hand and are ready to transfer. If you have any questions please just email me and I will get back to you and answer to the best of my ability.

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Icons Model May Be the Low Rider El Diablo

Tue, 22 Feb 2022

The devil is in the details Earlier this year, Harley-Davidson revealed a new Low Rider ST featuring a FXRT-inspired fairing. Initial reaction to the Low Rider ST was very positive, with Jochen Zeitz, Harley-Davidson chief executive officer, claiming in Harley-Davidson’s Q4 earnings call “demand was so high for this bike that we sold out our first consumer allocation in 10 minutes.” While the retro fairing might not appeal to everyone, one other critique about the FXLRST (and a few other bikes in the 2022 lineup) is the rather drab selection of colors: Vivid Black and Gunship Gray. If you’re looking for a more vibrant Low Rider ST, you may want to wait a bit longer, as Harley-Davidson will be introducing a new variant to be called the “Low Rider El Diablo.” The name appears in vehicle emissions certification from the U.S.

The Hydra-Glide name celebrates its 75th anniversary, dating back to the first hydraulic fork that was equipped to a Harley-Davidson, replacing the springer front end in 1949, while the “slash” fuel tank design, emblem, classic round air filter cover, two-toned windshield, seat, and cases, are all nods to the 1956 FLH. Showdown: 2022 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited Vs Indian Pursuit Limited Premium

Tue, 24 May 2022

Hollister on The Big Ones, via San Andreas Fault: Will California slide into the sea? Who are we to question the motorcycles red-blooded Americans love most? Harley-Davidson sells more Street Glides than it does Road Glide Limiteds (which basically adds the frame-mounted fairing and trunk), but the song remains the same.
