Harley-Davidson Softail description

I am selling my fathers 1997 Harley Davidson Softail Custom Ted Williams Testimonial Fatboy FLSTF with only 4500 miles, due to his age and health. This is a custom testimonial bike to Ted Williams, the greatest baseball hitter. The bike has been used mostly in shows and fund raisers. There are many extras such as custom multi colored paint with images of Ted Williams on the sides of the gas tank and ghost flames (absolutely no decals) air horn, double spoke rims, Harley Davidson memory foam leather seat, foot pegs, blue LED neon accent lighting, running boards, Vance Heinz pipes, lots of CHROME, Harley Davidson windshield and saddle bags as well as 2 leather side bags. Bike has been lowered and has many other custom upgrades, has been recently serviced and is in mint showroom condition. Anyone is welcome to view the bike prior to auction end. Bidder is responsible for shipping.  I can be contacted at 727-992-4247 with any questions by phone or text.

A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...

Billie Leo Standley died last weekend from lung cancer, but before he died, the 82-year-old wished for the world to know he was going to ride off to heaven. To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. Warning: A graphic photograph of Standley in his casket can be viewed on the Dayton Daily Times website.

What It's Like To Ride A Harley Superbike Credit: Photos by Brian J. Nelson and Kevin Wing Kyle Wyman knows a thing or two about superbikes. Having ridden quite a few over the years as a MotoAmerica rider, and having built some himself as a MotoAmerica team owner – including the Ducati Panigale V4R he campaigned most recently – the 2021 MotoAmerica King of the Baggers champion didn’t mince his words when describing the synergy between himself, Harley-Davidson, and the Road Glide he took all the way to the title.
