Once upon a time, cowboys rode the range, roping cattle across the American West.  Today, the power of choice for the wide open roads heading to the sunset is Harley Davidson’s lineup of Big Twins.  And on the road to Sturgis, the ultimate evolution-powered Harley is the limited-edition FLSTN “Cow-Glide.”  Cowboys never had it this good.

As with all Harleys, the model name can be decoded to uncover the bike’s specifications.  The FLSTN is the Evo Fat Boy Tourer.  ST stands for the Softail rear end, blending the look of a rigid-rear Kuncklehead with the clever technology of hidden suspension for a cushioned ride.  And N stands for Nostalgia, symbolizing a special paint scheme or model.

Everything on this bike is from either the Harley Davidson Catalog or the Screaming Eagle Catalog.  The entire front end is completely chrome.  Hubs, twisted spokes, chrome rim, axle covers, fork lowers, fork uppers, headlight visors.  Everything is chrome!

This bike was a show piece at the Harley Davidson Dealership and is a two owner beauty.  This bike really is straight out of a time capsule, it is a testament to the 1993 Harley Davidson Cow-Glide!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Engine:

The engine in the 1993 FLSTN "Cow-Glide" is a four-stroke 45-degree V-Twin. The engine has two valves per cylinder and a displacement volume of 1340 cc. The bore and stroke are 3.46 inches by 4.25 inches. This engine generates 69.34 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 63.6 foot-pounds of torque at 2,400 rpm, and has a compression ratio of 8.6 to 1. The bike has a manual 5-speed transmission.

Frame and Suspension:

The frame of the 1993 FLSTN "Cow/Moo Glide" is a steel double cradle. The front cartridge suspension uses a single disk brake which works to stop the stock 90/R16 tire. The rear suspension uses a mono-shock swingarm, and also has a disc brake. The "Moo Glide" can comfortably seat two persons.

The dry weight of the 1993 Heritage "Softail" is 718.7 lb. It has a power-to-weight ratio of .32384 hp per pound. The seat height is 26.4 inches and the fuel tank has a capacity of 4.2 gallons.
