Finally The REAL THING

1993 Harley-Davidson

Nostalgia

Moo Glide / Cow Glide

#2243/2700

*********

Excellent example of an Extremely Rare Harley-Davidson Collector series Numbered Softail. This bike is in very nice condition with excellent paint, chrome, polished and leather parts and accessories. Correctly outfitted with original cowhide seats and accessory backrest, correct original style saddlebags, quick release H-D luggage rack. Many correct dealer installed accessories and chrome goodies including engine guard, foot board inserts and chrome covers, headlight & turn signal eyebrows. Runs and rides extremely nice, powerful 80" Evolution V-Twin sounds awesome with the Vance & Hines Longshot exhaust, 5 speed transmission shifts smooth, fun to ride & it looks great too. Has a very small hard to see ding on front left side of tank, probably from quick release W/S hardware (no w/s inc)! Wide Whitewall tires are in great shape and look perfect on the wire spoke wheels. Ride and enjoy as is or do a top quality detail and win some shows with it!

NOTICE: All Human models are over 18 years old & no Animals were harmed in the Photo Shoot process

1993 Harley-Davidson FLSTN Heritage Softail

The unusual 1993 Harley-Davidson FLSTN Heritage Softail motorcycle was nicknamed the "Cow Glide," and Harley immediately sold all 2,700 it built. Ever since William "Willie G." Davidson, grandson of a Harley-Davidson founder, took over as the motorcycle maker's chief of design in 1963, the company showed a willingness -- a passion even -- for bringing daring designs to market. But this one was unusual even by Harley-Davidson standardsFor 1993, Harley offered anniversary models to celebrate the company's 90th birthday, and right alongside those two-tone silver anniversary bikes was this striking black-and-white Heritage Softail with heifer trim, soon to be nicknamed the "Cow Glide."

Combining the classic look of wire wheels, whitewall tires, running boards, and chromed headlight nacelle with the black-on-white paint scheme resulted in a classic look. Add the bovine trim, and the image is truly unique.

But like other Harley-Davidson "factory customs," the FLSTN boasts modern mechanicals, such as belt drive, disc brakes, hydraulic forks, and Harley's Softail frame that looks rigid, but isn't.

Also like most of its other customs, the Cow Glide sold out immediately, it's 2,700 copies not near enough to go around.

Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Party Is Just A Week Away

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

Harley-Davidson has been preparing for its 110th anniversary party for the past year, celebrating in 11 countries on six different continents. In the past year, Harley-Davidson employees, dealers and riders have shared thousands of amazing experiences, including a ride through the Tibetan Plateau in China, a parade along the beaches of Sao Paulo and even a Papal blessing. But now the party is coming home to Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend, which promises to be the biggest celebration of them all.  Milwaukee residents have always been cordial hosts for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts who make the journey to the City of Festivals from around the world. One Anniversary tradition is the welcoming home of thousands of riders by Milwaukee area residents who stand on the city’s highway overpasses with homemade welcome signs as riders arrive in Milwaukee.

Harley-Davidson Wire Sculpture

Thu, 12 Nov 2009

Contemporary Artist Derek Kinzett is based out of the U.K. and works with wire to create some stunning sculptures. I cant imagine how long it must have taken to make this Harley-Davidson replica but I am sure he is well compensated.  Kinzett has even been commissioned by Nicolas Cage, hopefully he received his payment before Cage’s IRS bill came in…

Motorcycle.com Adds a New Editor

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.
